It’s preferable to establish a guideline on how frequently individuals should reply to messages, for example, twice daily, and then permit—or even encourage—the team to send alerts throughout the remaining hours to keep the system quiet.

The other strategy is to do regular assessments of the environment in which the employees are working in with special attention being given to diversity issues.
